The Statue

A lone statue 
            sits deep in the garden, 
alone.

Lotus pose, 
            eyes closed.
Not waiting.

The garden 
            takes deep, 
                        active breaths.

Sighs, heavily.

The lone statue sits still,
but the eyes may open at any moment.
